Expect to stay off your floors for 4 hours minimum after the process has been completed. You can put your furniture back onto your floors after 24 hours and your rugs may be placed back after about a week of proper curing. For those who own pets, it’s best to keep them off the floors for 24 hours after the last coat has been applied.
Ideally, you would refinish your wood floors when you first move into your home. This is the most opportune time because all the furniture will be off the floors already. If you want to refinish your floors while you’re still living in the home, put everything in the garage, consider renting a storage unit or Pod to store furniture for the week.
