Our Story

Carpet & Tile by the Mile has been family-owned and operated for 25 years. Founder Trevor Van Hise discovered his passion for flooring early on, learning the trade while helping his parents grow their successful property management company. In his late teens, he mastered carpet installation, and in 1995, he turned that skill into a business, opening his own carpet store.

In 1998, Trevor’s future wife, Denise, joined the business. With her degree in business management from Albertus Magnus, she brought expertise in customer service and interior design, helping customers find the perfect flooring for their homes. Together, Trevor and Denise built Carpet & Tile by the Mile into the thriving company it is today.
